The authentication that is being done was just the default popup that was
occurring. I do not set the authentication.
In Edge, I am receiving the following error even though it is a valid login.

I would have thought this is application side; I don't know how you're
doing the authentication, but I'd be surprised if the backed (GeoServer)
wasn't browser agnostic.

that FF/Chrome make versus those that IE/Edg
Our application needs the user to enter their name and password once they enter
the page. There are no issues with Firefox or Chrome. However in IE and Edge,
