It seems I have seen a lot about improved/new NetCDF support in GeoServer
change logs, release, notes, etc. lately. However, I don't seem to be able
to uncover any documentation on how to actually use NetCDF as a data source
in GeoServer.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hello Mike,
currently the NetCDF stuff is not yet fully backported to GeoServer 2.4.x,
so basically for a while building the NetCDF stuff and using it can be done
only through some GeoServer forks around.

It looks like it's a community module, so documentation may be lacking. I
guess maybe it comes from these folks -
