Looks good to me, Ian.
Using openjdk-8-jdk 8u72-b05-5 amd64 on debian/unstable, running the
bin-zip embedded Jetty, I tested several layer previews and demo
requests and nothing seemed out of place.

I did a quick smoke test of the war on tomcat 7 (on my Linux laptop).
