I looked at the coverage branch last week, but I had a hard time to get
usefull information from "svn diff" since it produces too much output. I
would like to try the following:

Part 1: Geometry attributes
So all the actual work goes on here: org.geotools.xml.gml.GMLComplexTypes.AbstractFeatureType.getFeature(...). At the end of the method, I call the FeatureType to create the actual Feature based on the attributes. The FeatureType is created here:
