I have committed the first versions of the new feature model api t o
trunk as per todays IRC discussion.

Reviewed the patch. I could be missing something ( i am pretty
unfamiliar with this class ) but i think the recursive call to
readFidColumn on line 44 of the diff should be:
readFidColumn( index + 1 );
instead of
readFidColumn( index );
So if I am not mistaken this code catches an exception tha

Unfortunatly it overlaps with the IRC meeting, so I will again miss it...
I guess that IRC agenda is going to contains the following:
- "java logging" to "common/log4J logging" adapter: I can try to fix

It should be about as easy as an adapter to common-logging. I though that
common-logging would be mor

to another port because from here I cannot reach it due to very strict
