My second test is complete - the "mvn -Psite.build site" target also
does not work using maven 2.0.6.
Environment is Java 5, Maven 2.0.6
The error here is expected; it is the same conflict between
geoapi-nogenerics and geometry. The site.build profile has nogenerics

Okay that can work.

Ahh, yes I forgot about this. It seems that when a project declares a
dependency which has a non-default classifier ( like tests ), the jar
collector fails.
So we have two options.
1. Stick with maven 2.0.5
2. Change the jar collector so that it does not execute during the
install phase.

Sorry about the confusion; the goal here is to have the GeoTools feature
model cease to exist.

Jody,
I must admit I'm a little confused trying to get things sorted out between
GeoAPI and GeoTools. Let me see if the following sounds like a good course
of action for my efforts:
[1] Implement my FeatureCache for OpenJUMP utilizing the GeoAPI 2.0 Feature
Model. (The FeatureCache will be desig
I need to get on to my day job here; geotools is costing my sanity.
Before us we have a choice:
a) back out the clover coverage reports (pending any more information
from anyone)
b) back out to Maven 2.0.4
I will let another PMC make that call as I am no longer useful this morning.

So this target failed for me:
It looks like Andrea and Cory both have a license in the required
location(http://svn.geotools.org/geotools/trunk/gt/build/maven/build-configs/src/main/resources/gt2/)
andrea do you know anything more about clover - or can I just disable
this report for now?

Darn - my configuration is actually Maven 2.0.5, looks like Justin is
using Maven 2.0.6 on his build box.
Looking at the pom.xml it looks like "mvn -Psite.build site" will only
work for Java 1.4 - since that is our release environment we should be okay.
Cheers,

There are two things Cory asked us to check:
1) mvn install

I'm the coupable who introduced Maven 2.0.5 dependency a few days ago, in an
attempt to clean the quite large amount of output during JUnit testing. I didn't
knew that such change would be such an earthquake (I was really thinking that it
would be almost unoticed). I volunter for rolling back the c

I just went to upgrade to 2.0.6 on the build box. I have been also using
maven 2.0.6 in my local environment without problems. However I have not
tried a release so not sure. But the release never worked for me
straight up
I think that we may be able to go to 2.0.6 but there was a major bug
when it was released (according to cory). And supposedly it is fixed
but cory didn't trust it. Some one is welcome to give it a shot but
it should be tested before made official.

Andrea and Saul - I understand of where you speak :-)
Looking through past email it does appear as if there is a reason to
upgrade to maven 2.0.5 (martin had the initial inspiration, when we
tried last month it was one of the reasons Cory and I had the build down
for two days).

In addition, why are we talking about 2.0.5? If we're going to upgrade,
shouldn't we upgrade to the LATEST maven? I.e. maven 2.0.6?

Hi Justin; you are the last guy with a build box right now - I would
like to know if Maven 2.0.5 is officially a go. I think you will find a

If so I would recommend we make a news announcement (rather then the
current email from a week or so ago).
I appreciate the responses provided by Jody and Rob to my earlier post about
the relationship between GeoTools and GeoAPI. I want to respond to some of
their comments in another thread.
Before I do that I'd like to put forth a suggested plan for the GeoTools
