Just checked our Maven repository:

The latest GeoAPI snapshot is dated October 19, which should be okay for the
error your reported (the corresponding GeoAPI interface change is dated October
18 according "svn log").

Do "svn update" then "mvn install" on your GeoAPI checkout.
I though that a GeoAPI snapshot has been deployed to our Maven repository. It
seems that it is not the case. Checking now if I should deploy again...
