here is what I would say, start dropping what you have done under
spike, so that we can start looking at it as well as discussing about
it.
We have done quite some work in order to replace parts of the
GridCoverage packages, although a lot could be done.
I did a check to see what modules were not covered by any documentation; and
came up with 27 entries from plugins and unsupported.
(This was not including the ogc and xsd jars which I documented quickly without
any examples).
Some of these experiments look like they can just be thrown out;
