When doing the GeoTools 15-RC1 / GeoServer 2.9-RC1 release, I ran ito a
bunch of places in the release guide that were incomplete or out of date. I
have attempted to fix these with the following PRs:
- https://github.com/geotools/geotools/pull/1182 (GeoTools)
- https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1588 (GeoServer)
- https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver.github.io/pull/33 (GeoServer)
Notable changes:
- Several old sites have been removed from the announcments section
(Anything we haven't been using for 2+ years).
- Missing instructions for performing a RC release have been added, such
as updating the stable/maintenance links for docs.geoserver.org
- sed scripts now work on OS X (they still work on linux too)
