Awesome. It would be really cool to add support for GeoWebCache, to use it as a datastore. And indeed for general WMS-C,WMTS, TMS, etc. Then GeoServer could backend on to an existing cache. Simone, after that step is done what more is there to make it so we can fully return WMS from that
