Some of the geoserver vendor parameters are implemented as hints: https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/services/wms/vendor.html Others are controlled by the geoserver administrator during setup (as presumably they know if their data requires advanced projection handling). -- Jody Garnett On
