Thanks Martin. Both of those improvements certainly sound worth
having. Also, looking at the release notes they say that they have
fixed the bug that sometimes affected site building.

For my Netbeans use I've been sticking with 2.09 external maven
because the embedded maven in the mevenide plugin (which advertises
itself as 3.0-SNAPSHOT) often failed with geotools-related builds.

Good to know; usually we wait until their is a reason to upgrade -
like a bug fix. Or people quietly upgrade and tell me about it months
later so I will update the developers guide.
Are there any fixes we could use to simplify our build?
