Hi Everyone, I have been working on GEOT-2903 [1], taking into account all the feedback received so far.
The most important points are: a) the functionality is now enabled with a profile: "org.geotools.shapefile.datetime", and b) compatibility (read/write) has been verified with a software called DBF Viewer 2000.
