The discussion of the potential role of carbon dioxide removal/negative
emissions technologies in responding to climate change is growing apace,
including recent developments in the United States, such as limited
incorporation into the Green New Deal, and more capaciously, in a new
resolution released recently by Senator Diane Feinstein:

Our newly-launched Institute focuses on social science aspects of these issues,
including governance of research and development, the role of public
deliberation, and sound assessment of proposed options, including from human
rights and sustainable development perspectives.
