as the subject states?
how would I go about setting the lowest tv mode for all downloads and
adding it permonantly to my options file?
I am blind, and don't require hd which get_iplayer fetches as default.
any help would be greatfully welcomed :)

Thanks for clarifying.
I agree conversion to mp3 is not really GIP functionality. - I've
found it useful and was a little surprised it was removed.
I no longer have my older devices that can't play the m4a files. So
I'll stick with m4a files
