Hi, Just to introduce myself as a dedicated fan but non-coder user of get_iplayer. I am running openSUSE 11.4 (x86_64) and KDE 4.6.00 (release 6). Have had good results most of the time. Occasional breaks but the download restarts each time. Most of the threads here are above my head or

Hi, I want to download part of the BBC "In Our Time" podcast archive. I believe it should be possible to download multiple files by using the correct REGEX in the get_iplayer command but am stuck with the regular expression syntax. The file reference numbers are from 24809 to 24956 inclusive.

Hi and many thanks to Andy et al for answering my dumb questions. I have another which I suspect is a Regex issue but how should I deal with colon ":" in a search string. All appears as it should in the search0 = line of the pvr list but in the first line, pvrsearch = the colon has gone.

I have been running --pvr as cron job every 24 hours at night. I woke up to find machine stalled with a stack of get_iplayer processes running but nothing happening. Couldn't find how to stop them other than killing them and now when I try and start --pvr in console I get error message: Can't

have read --longhelp but am still not wise enough! Finally please could I have guidance on how get_iplayer handles jpg thumbnail files. I see that these are downloaded at the end of a programme and then vanish. What am I doing wrong please? Alastair

On my openSUSE (12.3) machine, when I try and reply to the list using Thunderbird I get an error message "relay not permitted." Cannot cut and paste whole error message as I am on another (OS/2) machine which works OK. Any ideas what I have wrong on the linux box please? Budgie __
