Did you compile rtmpdump with "SHARED=" ??
If not, rtmpdump will probably loading wheezy's librtmp

I've noticed that the config option --refresh --flush -f only clears the
tv cache, it doesn't clear the radio cache or podcast cache. Is there
some reason for this?
By default the cache expires after 4 hours. I think that applies to all
the caches. So I cannot flush the radio cache unless I do so

...where downloaded_file.flv was obtained using get_iplayer --raw
So that suggests to me that a solution for .m4a or .mp3 should be possible
without any more tools.

For 6 months of the year I live in Thailand but I have a home in England
were I my own personal server. Amongst other things I use the server to
run get_iplayer on. I log on to the server via ssh and manually run
get_iplayer. I also run get_iplayer via a crontab schedule. I can then
download manual
