Would it be too much of a compromise to just drop the P at the end? GNU Image Manipulator instead of GNU Image Manipulation Program ? Of course I would suggest planning and waiting until a major version change to change it. _-T

I shouldn't have suggested compromise of the name. It would be better to have "Deluxe Edition" as an optional prefix. DE-GIMP appropriately means to cure from lameness. We could continue to use the GIMP name and not lose any name-recognition in the process. Searches for GIMP would continue to t
