Minor quibble. :) The last SVN date is December 2013. Also, for fun, I
download the source and built it for 2.8 series. Seems to work fine. I
was able to load DDS files and write DDS without crash on Win 8.1
64bit.

Why not include DDS format? Getting a plug-in to work on mac with it is a
fudging pain in the behind
