Is it possible to have the Dialogs always on top? I scrounged through
the Preferences but could not find such an option. Is it possible?

Regarding preview, what I would suggest is to select a small area of your
image to process first. Then after you get your settings worked out, revert
to processing the entire image.

One of the more powerful features of Photoshop is the USM (shapen, umask)
feature. GIMP has a similar funnction (Windows version 1.2.4). However,
