Hi,
I run both WinXP Pro and Mandrake 10.0 was just loaded up yesterday. I
have played with Mandrake for a couple of years now on and off but

I get information about Gimp 2.0 on the list, but I'm a user without a

I cannot find a way in Gimp 2.0.1 to decrease the file size of an image so that
I can load it as a background in an HTML file and have acceptable load times.
Apparently this can be done in Photoshop under File and save as web page(or
similar). Not being a Photoshop or Windows user I am going on hea
I now, without too much trouble(thanks to a slick setup on Gimp's side) got
2.0.1 installed and running.
How do I now, to save space on my notebook, remove all previous versions of gimp
without breaking anything?

Exactly. What you're after isn't possible.
Screen shots are pixelated in print. To get your 300dpi, scale the image,
but use 'None' for interpolation type. That'll maintain the pixely look,
but it won't be some smeared, blurry looking screenshot. It'll be crisp.
The only way you'd get what yo
Hi...
I think it a conceptual error wanting 300DPI screenshots - Maybe not -
but wait second - the GIMP interface is designed to be displayed at typical
monitor resolutions - from 72 to 96 dpi.

The GIMP user interface is not drawn in a resolution-independant way
