I am trying to install version 2.8.0 on a Windows XP SP2 machine. Unfortunately
I can't update the machine to SP3 as it breaks the machine. I am trying to fix

I downloaded Gimp to my Macbook Pro. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8. When I
tried to install it, a message came up asking me to install XQuartz. I did
this and was then able to install Gimp. However, when I tried to open Gimp, it
does not open. Any thoughts?
There is probably many ways to do it. You could create a layer with your stripe
pattern then create your text, convert it to a selection, invert selection,
clear selection.
