In the preferences there are several tick boxes under Image import and Export.
What state are your tick box in for exif data?

Instead of using drag-and-drop from Windows Explorer, consider right-clicking
and checking out your context menu. There's usually a command called "Open
With..." that allows you to select a program for it (internally, it mostly just
executes a shell command of appname /path/to/file ). Dependin
Since installing 2.10.0 (and also 2.10.6) when I export a Pentax file (as a
jpeg) the exif data is lost. Canon, Nikon & Sony files work fine. I'm using
Windows 10 and I have tried this on 2 different PCs. Gimp 2.8 and previous
versions had no issues with Pentax files. Has anyone come across this ?
Does it not appear in "Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts" scroll down to "Filters"? Note
that the filters don't appear in alphabetical order. If you find it there
left-click on it and press the key or key combination that you want to use to
activate it.

it pretty much unusable. It works fine on my other computer but on my laptop
whenever I select anything the whole selection perimeter fills up black slowly.
Hard to describe so here's a video: https://youtu.be/AeLLatF4
It might also appear under "Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts/Plug-ins" (again these are
not in alphabetical order)

To open a file via drag n drop, for the first file you can drop onto the
empty image area. For all further images I'd expect that you can drop in
the area above the main image where image previews are shown. Actually the
mouse pointer changes to have + in that area, but the image is not loaded.

Hi Liam, thanks for the hint. Looks like in 2.10.6 <2106> Windows the file

Ed,
Although I’m sure that they’re unintentional, your post contains
inconsistencies. They must be rectified before any help can be attempted.
