Hey, with 2.10.8 up, I had a lot of issues. I made sure I had the latest driver from Huion; didn't work. I tried uninstalling and re-installling 2.10.8. Nada. I switched back to 2.8. It was abysmal, and wouldn't work for me.
I fixed my issue by going into the update mainframe on gimp, and downloading 2.10.6, It still has occasional issues with closing suddenly, but they had a pattern, instead of randomly happening. 2.10.6 would only suddenly close if there was too much taxing your system, and if it had been up for more than 3 hours. But, and with my h420 tablet button set to press and save, I can anticipate this and save at the drop of a hat. This worked for my issues with 2.10.8 when nothing else would. I hope that this at least provides you with ideas on finding your fix!
