Hello,
Using the newer version (2.10.6) I notice that the metrics related to the
histogram doc are different from previous versions. For example, the mean for a
specific image was ~128 and in the new version is ~0.692. I have evaluated a set
of images with the older version and i need to add to

Using Gimp 2.9.5 from the 'buntu ppa
In the version 2.9.5 I noticed the histogram was not updating as I was making
adjustment, like brightness/contrast, levels, etc. Is there a setting somewhere
I need to set? I remember very well in 2.8 the histogram auto updates as I make
adjustments.

Thanks everybody for your replys. I really appreciate it. I was not aware
that you can use R for pictures. Any good tutorials out there? Any specific

Anja,
I've used gimp for some rudimentary image analysis for the past four or five
years. However, I've started migrating to Fiji (a fork of imagej).
It streamlines much of my tasks, because it is the right tool for the job.
To be direct, I don't have an answer for you, but I am interested to

Hi everybody!
I am fairly new to Gimp, but love it. I am a marine biologist and I would
like to use this program for my research. I do need to export the histogram
values as I need to do some calculations (pixel count and

programming language with great graphics support.
