A snag. Just had a closer look at Partha's Gimp 2.8.14 installation. It does have resynthesizer installed, lots of extra plugins but **no** 'heal selection' So either add that plugin yourself or use the regular Gimp 2.8.18 installation from www.gimp.org and back to installing from that zip file I

I wish it would be that simple.  When trying to start (in Linux) Gimp " ...in console mode, type LANGUAGE=fr gimp ", Gimp still starts in English. May be it was working with previous versions (I'm running Gimp 2.6 on Ubuntu 11.04) but that doesn't work now. I haven't found anything else on Google
