Hello Miguel,
The "incident" is that the registry was hosted on an old drupal
installation that was a little long in the tooth. Maintaining and securing
it was straining our resources beyond what we had available (and the entire
infrastructure wasn't quite what we need).
The team has been thinki
Hello!
If they are providing the source code and appropriate license attributions,
this shouldn't be a problem (though it is kind of shady).

It might make sense to call them out on the comments and point to

But thank you for taking the time to notify us of a possible problem! We

Hi Dan!
I would perhaps try joining us on IRC in #GIMP (on GIMPNet, not freenode).
In particular I would try to talk to Jehan Pages - he is the one currently
driving the development of an "Extensions" manager for GIMP that will
ultimately replace the functionality most people were looking for in t
This url relies on mirrors I believe? It may just be a slow mirror.

Howdy!
This is IMHO very useful but it would be much more useful if there were

To clarify, you want a link to the old docs as well, on the page

Hello!
The registry is no more. There is some work from Jehan on replacing it with
an extension architecture as part of GIMP, BT it will take a little time.
Of course, you can help them to help you a bit...

would you have some advice here? Should I just add it to the mirrors list

I think this is the right list to be on.
I’ll check on email change requirements.

Ah, thank you for catching this. That article is quite old and should
really point to the wiki maybe, which I believe has more up-to-date
information.
I’ll make the changes. Would you possibly be able to add an issue for this
so I don’t forget? ;)

Ugh, I am a little late to this apparently (just noticed the date it was
sent).
This was fixed by nmat already! :)

I'd love to merge this but it might be a bit until I can build locally and
check. Perhaps prokoudine could check it sooner?

Hello Carlos!
The site registry.gimp.org has been considered defunct for some time now.
We don't really have any interest in keeping/maintaining it as it was.
Instead, Jehan and some others have been working on integrating the
functionality into a plugin system for GIMP that can be invoked direct
Howdy!
We have a few different web properties that are handled a little
differently.
Primarily we have https://www.gimp.org which is the main website people
usually find.
This site is currently a static website built using the Pelican generator
(Python 3 right now).
The repo for the website is he

Hopefully that makes sense?

Hi Jake!
Yeah, the registry has been dead for quite a while. We nabbed a wget dump
before it was sunsetted here:

A new plugin registry would be nice but it needs to be done in the context
of the main project - Jehan has some ideas around an int
Well this is certainly a loss for the project but understandable.
Your work has been invaluable in shaping views of the project and raising
awareness.
I've said it before, but you were the main impetus for my involvement in
both GIMP and the inspiration for starting PIXLS.
For that I cannot thank y
