$ git --version
git version 1.8.5.2 (Apple Git-48)
$ python --version
Python 2.7.5
$ uname -a
Darwin Kernel Version 13.3.0: Tue Jun 3 21:27:35 PDT 2014;
root:xnu-2422.110.17~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64
However, it the command is used on a new empty
$ git p4 sync --detect-branches --import-labels //main@all
... Lots of useful information elided
fatal: ambiguous argument 'git-p4-tmp/8031': unknown revision or path not in
the working tree.
Use '--' to separate paths from revisions, like this:
'git command [revision...] -- [file...]'
