git fast-import crashing on big imports

Hey, the FreeBSD svn2git conversion is crashing somewhat non-deterministically during its long conversion process. From memory, this was not as bad is it is with more recent versions of git (but I can't be sure, really). I have a dump file that you can grab at http://scan.spoerlein.net/pub/freebs

Hi all, I'm running a couple of conversions from SVN to git, using a slightly hacked version of svn2git (because it can cope with multiple branches and is several orders of magnitude faster than git-svn). Anyway, when doing some verification runs, using the same version of svn2git, but different
