What do you mean by "Keyword Highlighting"? Its not a term that exists in

We use to name tags with the full version, including the patch level.
The rest mostly uses the short version and for API requirements it is fully
sufficient to check for major.minor as patch level versions never should
increase the API version.

Looking on https://github.com/geany/geany/releases/tag/2.0.0 looks like it is
kind of messy versioning because tag is 2.0.0 and version 2.0 and the same

Yeah, so we need to get an idea that major distros provide something sane for
`-symbolic`.
On this Mint (not the latest but still supported) `find /usr/share/icons -name
"edit-clear-symbolic*" -print ` only finds anything in Adwaita.
Yeah, hinting is the info in the font file that tells how to calculate the
antialiasing.
New addition to Geany license, users may only use Geany if they sit far enough
from their screen that they can't see the pixels

@elextr what you're describing is hinting ;) The trade-off between faithful
glyph shape rendering versus blurry render because pixels are big.
And I agree that better hinting is better, but it's tricky. I admittedly got
used to bad one because some upgrade lead to poorer hinting everywhere on

IIUC it "triggered" the problem by doing it (more) correctly :-)
In reality there will always be cases where the screen resolution being used

It's not new to 2.0 though. I just tried Geany 1.38 packaged with Debian

people use another icon theme or older distributions (or maybe we are the only
