Yes, fc-match says `NotoSansCJK-Regular.ttc: "Noto Sans CJK JP" "Regular"` for
the first character in the original text (U+7F16).

I havn't upgraded to 21.3 yet, but ...
Are you sure? Normally Xed is provided as the default text editor under the
menu item "Accessories->Text Editor" and of course you can install others from
the software centre.

Yes, choose "In Session" on the replace dialog.

If I find time I will look into adding it & creating a PR. For now though, I am

Geany is my only text editor in Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.3. Because of this, some
of my questions may also depend on GTK, and not just Geany. My needs are
editing text, prose, etc., and not programming related, which makes some of
these questions strange.

Please specify the text as text instead of just a picture. Sometimes problems
are sensitive to the actual text. Since I don't speak Chinese, it would likely
take me half an hour to reconstruct that text and it is easy to make mistakes.

I'm sorry for this report.

**Steps to reproduce**

The tab-switcher appears with some entries that ar not tab-titles. The entries

Maybe it would be good to add even more CSS as comment, like this for example:
```
/*
/* size of the scrollbar */
scrollbar slider {
min-width: 10px;
border-right: 10px solid transparent;
}
/* border around the tab-switcher (Shift+F10) and border in the menu-list of
each item of the menu
That works for me:
```
menu {border: 1px solid black}
```
Then indeed not only the tab-switcher has a border but also the menu-list of
each item of the menu bar. It is good to have it like this to make also there a
clear separation
