FYI to Haskell WishList listeners - I've checked in support for hSelect to the CVS repository. Code in ghc/lib/misc/Select.lhs, documentation in ghc/docs/users_guide/libmisc.vsgml. As always, commits haven't been subject to a testing procedure that satisfies ISO 9001 requirements.. i.e., give it a go, if interested. The need for Select.hSelect should be less now that the IO library is MT friendlier, but it will still serve a useful role in some contexts, I hope. --sigbjorn
