CVS changes
===========
GHC's CVS Repository is moving to a new location at OGI today. The new cvs
server will be cvs.haskell.org (the DNS info may take a few days to filter
through).
Jeff Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Andy Gill <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> at OGI will
be supporting the CVS server, which will be used for the joint Hugs/GHC
project, as well as containing the various source trees we have on the
server at the moment. They'll be providing the same services as before,
including anoncvs, and hopefully some new features such as web-based CVS
browsing.
What to do:
- if you use anoncvs to Glasgow, it'll still work for the
time being, but the sources won't change from today.
- if you're a committer, don't commit anything! Sorry for
the short notice. The new server should be up in a day or
two, I'll send out a message when everything's working.
Mailing Lists
=============
There are some new mailing lists which will receive commit messages from the
new server (all @haskell.org): cvs-all, cvs-ghc, cvs-happy, cvs-hdirect,
cvs-hslibs, cvs-green-card, cvs-haggis, cvs-nofib, cvs-other. These mailing
lists are open for anyone to join, using [EMAIL PROTECTED] as normal.
Posting to the lists is discouraged (except by the CVS server!), but isn't
actually disabled; it's occasionally useful.
Things will be in flux for the next day or two, so bear with us. I'll
update the web pages and send out instructions for using the new server in
due course.
