i've looked for this bug in Trac but don't found anything. so:
startGUI action = runInBoundThread $ do
unsafeInitGUIForThreadedRTS
myThreadId = writeIORef guiThread
action = widgetShowAll
mainGUI
guiThread = unsafePerformIO$ newIORef$ error undefined
Could you send a full example we can compile and test?
