Just to let you know that I've put a merge request in for gluster-docs, which
includes the provides the files used to create the "Getting Started with
Gluster 3.4" brochure.
It's in odf format currently, but I'll look at converting to asciidoc.

I was testing the brick failure detection at two levels - glusterfsd itself
through a kill and a separate node kill test
Killing the daemon was fine, and resulted in the vol status output being OK -
but the node kill hung the cli.

You should be attaching gdb to the mount process. The process serves filesystem
requests on the mount point. This process has the mount point (directory) in
its command line arguments. This should help you find out the pid of the
process using ps(1).
