try that in your exports. '*' did not work for me either.

Off recently we have not tested with MacOSX, we brought in semaphore
usage
in glusterfs daemon, so in MacOSX it might require special libraries or
parameters for
compiler to fix it. We will fix it in subsequent releases.

You run "ls -lR" on the mounted volume (client side). GlusterFS knows
