I did not manage to bring samba 4 up, with sambas glusterfs vfs module on
centos 6.4 with glusterfs-3.4.0, too.
I think it is only working with a special version.

I download and extracted source packages of samba and glusterfs and I built
glusterfs, so I get the
right necessary structure:
glusterfs version is 3.4 and it's from ppa.
