Just to confirm, if I delete the volume so I can start over, deleting the
volume will not delete the data. Is this correct? Finally, once the
volume is deleted, do I have to do what Joe Julian recommended here?

This tells gluster to drop the brick on server5 from the volume, and
reassures gluster that you know that you will now have a replicated volume
with 4 replicas on it.

now, but there is a setup file where you can tell
updatedb what to index and what to not index. I altered my configuration to
add some things that it ignores by default, but it should be just as simple
to tell it not to index your brick(s).
