The initial response I got from GSS was re-install which I why I posted
here. I used the process I outlined above and it seemed to work but I was
looking for advice/war stories.

Hi Colin,
I think it would be ideal to vet this process with your Red Hat support
channel. It is difficult to provide authoritative advice on any downstream
product based on upstream GlusterFS in this forum.
