I'm testing glusterfs 3.3.0-1 on a couple of CentOS 6.3 servers,
than run KVM
after inserting a new empty brick due to a simulated failure, the
Self-healing process kicked in, as expected
after that however the VMs became mostly unsuable due to IO delay
it looks like the Self-hea
If one of the 2 servers goes offline and then comes back, all the
virtual machines are stuck until self healing completes because of high
load on servers during files reconstruction.
Is there a chance to make self healing less invasive ?
I've tried setting the following option:
cluster.self-h
I had been looking at doing the same for a while now. While Gluster is
a great technology and I was very excited by what it could offer, I
don't think Gluster would be suitable for this particular purpose.
Pardon me if I'm wrong but since Gluster works on the file level, I
feel that it isn't reall

I have 2 servers, exporting a replicated gluster volume to 3 gluster
native clients. I use the gluster volume as a repository for qcow2 (kvm)
virtual machine images. The virtual machines runs on the gluster clients
with no problems and live migration works great.
