no wonder you cannot see any group
there are none defined in the submitted .msh file
now from view[3]
with
Visibility > Force Scalar > 2 (z component)
and
General > Range mode Custom » Min and Max button pushed
you can see the signed values of z displacement
i would say in the .mesh.opt f

In my understanding :
1rst column : number
2nd col : type (17 for 2nd order hex)
3rd col : number opf tags before node list
4th col : physical number (1 here)
5th col : elementary number i.e.
Erratum on my previous email: I forgot that even if I remove the .opt
file, the caption still shows positive values ... so ?
