Hi Samgee,
Great work, thanks for the examples.
I fetched your gen-apt script and tried running it,
also tried to run the other gen-scripts.
But the scripts fail.
- your gen-apt needed -p flag to mkdir the VENDOR folder.

Hi and welcome !
At the moment we are working on creating a new release of gNewSense
based on debian wheezy[1]. We are in the process of debugging the main
builder scripts and the gen-scripts that build individual packages[2].
There is a debmirror command that does not work properly as described

Hi all,
- do-update:
I've added an extra variable to config, gen-repo and update-chroot
do-update doesn't complain about updates and the security mirror
anymore.
do-update seems to get to the add_package method and uses the
gen-scripts.

Hi Mike and all,
I created an ansible-playbook[1] that performs the steps listed on
HowToCreateYourOwnGNULinuxDistribution [2].
Ansible is a configuration management tool [3] that basically ssh into a
pc, and executes commands, the commands needed to setup builder.
I'm not sure if anyone on this

Hi Bob, Sam,
I have been very busy, sorry for my lack of activity on this list.
I did not find the time yet to continue working on builder, I am
studying for my exams.
Starting February there should be more time to work on this.

Is there already a name chosen for gnewsense 5.0 ?
What are the criteria for a good name?

Hi,
I emailed samgee a while ago about gNewSense Builder and have started
setting up a server following the documentation [1][2]
The main aim is to get the original Builder scripts [2] working for
Ucclia (wheezy) and move from there.

i think nginx is a possible improvement,
though not sure if it will fix all issues.
Like Samgee mentioned, it might be unlikely that this traffic is to

Hi list,
a couple of weeks ago i stumbled over devuan,
a fork of debian aiming at init freedom.
what might be of interest to us, is the way they setup their system.
i don't know all the ins 'n outs, but on their website [1] they
have a small drawing of their continuous integration setup.
