All,
I will be helping with the burning process. I am also going to
take the LBS logo and tack on the name of each distribution so that we can
make labels for the CD's. I was planning on getting a label press so that
we could stick the label onto the CD itself. However, what I am findi

For those on the GNHLUG announce-only list, sorry it has been so quiet.
Hopefully this posting will be a reminder to organizers to use this
list for important announcements.
The online event calendar at
http://www.slug.org/cgi-slug/calendar/calendar.cgi
is also available for keeping informed.
Due to popular demand, I am posting the location of where I am getting my CDRs
for the LBS:
http://www.memorymedia.com
Note that the cheapest batch I've seen is 100 CDRs, bulkwrapped (no window
sleeves, no jewel cases) for $33. This also does not include tax or shipping/
handling.

If 200 isn't enough, let me know and I'll spring for another 200 and burn
different distributions here.

with windowed sleeves, it's $66 for 200 *without* windowed sleeves).
I was going to go ahead an purchase these. I should have them by this weekend
(hopefully). Additionally, my CD burner is out for repair r

Don't have to. If you don't specify a loopback device specifically, the
OS will use the first it has available. A simple mount -t format -o loop
/tmp/file /mnt/location will work fine..

Don't think so, I've been doing this for quite a while and I've never
heard of that command.

I believe you have to first run losetup(8) to associate the file
with a particular loop back device. This is what I've done in the
past:
losetup /dev/loo
Yup, I have built php3 with both mysql and postgresql. The one
catch is that you must the relevant parts of those databases installed on
the machine you're compiling on. In the case of MySQL it's the MySQL-devel
and MySQL-client RPMs.

Under DBI you can install different DBDs for different databases and
access different Dbs within a script/program and have simultaneous
connections. Am I corect that you can compile PHP3 to recognize and
use multiple Dbs in the same way by simply adding the ones you want to
the configure line
I was one of them. Thanks, I'll install it at home (with changes).
Be great to do without the stale locks I get.
