Am I expecting too much?

em is that it is very slow. It takes almost a minute for Star Office to come up. This is a lot slower than when this machine had windows 98 on it with MS Office. I have two questions: Am I expecting too much? If I'm not expecting too much, what can I do to speed up this install? Tom Laurie
