I took that course too with Lance Smith. I thought it was thorough.

There is a "C++ course" at Rivier College, Nashua NH
which is not a casual exercise.
The course is taught by Mihaela Sabin and
she "has high standards", so you must be prepared to work ...
She is also interested in "Excellence in Teaching"
so you will be pleased with the experience.
