The obvious consideration about this Essay is the diversity of factual data. I often discount arguments for OSS (Open Software) because they are filled with "emotional appeal" and little substance (please see some of R. Stallmans past rhetoric). However, this essay has a lot of "heavy duty" numbers in it, that are easily traceable or discernable, even by those with low or selective computer literacy. This is a must read for any Linux Fan (or geek), or members of the Open Source community, or even those trying to find truth in this topsy - turvy economy.
