maybe someone could explain this to me, i've never really understood it and its apparently a huge selling point. why does one need support for a[/any] linux distribution? if one doesn't know how to do something, theres documentation all over the internet on how to do things. new software

I don't have the Netgear (nor, for that matter, RH -- I'm Debian), but the bottom line is that you probably want to use direct printing (or something close to that), to port 9100 on 10.0.1.100. If that doesn't work, then try LPR. I'm sorry I can't give you more directions, but w/o Red Hat, I
