Nagios Question

Is anyone here familliar with Nagios? I just set it up and I'm getting a funky error. When it tries to ping a host, it returns the status as "UNKNOWN" and as the Status Information, it gives the (correct command line. Anyone have a clue here? Thanks, Brian --
