but I thought this was both significant and relates strongly to what
happened in Massachusetts.

I've been to one of the spin-off camps, DrupalCampNYC back in January (going
to my second DrupalCampNYC next weekend) and I was really impressed with how
educational that was, and my husband and I decided we wanted to get involved
with something BarCamp like back home so we've gotten involved
