So, one of the things in the news recently has been `the impending death of
Twitter'.
I'm actually not so much interested in the life _or_ death of Twitter per se,
but one of the things that's accompanied the `#RIPTwitter' thing has apparently
been some additional interest in GNU social, e.g.:

I've been running a few federated social hubs (on the GNU social network--
where the *network* is actually the network...) for a while now,
including a NH-oriented one in hopes of bringing together interesting people in
(or otherwise connected to) NH, and to connect those people into the broader
social network while fostering topical discussions (because topical
discussion-groups are a nice feature of GNU social).

There are lots of different sites in the network to choose from;
if you'd like to have the NH Crossing social hub <https://nhcrossing.com>
be your entrypoint, just say so--a couple of the people on this list
already have accounts there, and one of us can send you an invite/token
so that you can create an account of your own (and invite others if you like.

Alternately, feel free to join the groups and discussions there--
and elsewhere--using an account you have on another site :)
(you can get a glimpse the broader scope of conversations passing
through this site by taking a look at the site's `whole known network'
timeline <http://nhcrossing.com/main/all>; and for a sampling of the many
discussion groups that are out there on the network, take a look at
<http://skilledtests.com/wiki/index.php?title=List_of_federated_GNU_social_groups>).
